The Interpreter is an interesting political thriller by Sydney Pollack and starring Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn. A U. N. interpreter, Silvia Broome (Kidman), finds herself embroiled in an international assassination scheme when she accidentally overhears a planned assassination attempt. At first Agent Tobin Keller (Penn) has his doubts about whether or not Broome is a witness or a suspect of the impending assassination attempt, but slowly becomes convinced that she is only part of a much larger story. The race is on to determine who is the suspect and who is the culprit in this story of political intrigue and the answer may surprise you.
