This movie is a modern day adaptation of Mark Twain's classic, The Prince and The Pauper. Tom Canty (Dylan Sprouse) isn't happy with his life. Neither is Eddie Tudor (Cole Sprouse) the star of Tom's favorite T.V. show. They think they understand how the other half lives, but are soon to realize that they were wrong. During a sneak visit to the set, the boys end up with the opportunity to live each other's life for awhile. Then the T.V. show is relocated to Miami and the boys are stuck in the other's identity. After a series of misadventures, they realize they miss their old lives and have to find a way back without getting into more trouble.
