A sequel to the well-known Disney film, The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 explores the time after Frollo's death, when Quasimodo (Tom Hulce) is free to wander among the people. Though he's no longer confined to the bell tower, Quasimodo still lives there with his three gargoyle friends, Victor (Charles Kimbrough), Hugo (Jason Alexander), and Laverne (Jane Withers). When a band of thieves disguised as a circus comes to Paris, it's revealed that the leader, Sarousch (Michael McKean), has his eye on Notre Dame's most prized bell, La Fidel. His assistant, Madellaine (Jennifer Love Hewitt), is sent to discover its whereabouts, but meeting the disfigured Quasimodo initially shocks and frightens her. After learning of his warm nature, however, Madellaine finds herself unwilling to betray Quasi's trust and love by stealing the bell from him... but will he and the others believe her when it goes missing?
