Laure (Rebecca Romijn-Stamos ) is a jewel thief who betrays her partners in crime after pulling off a spectacular diamond heist in Cannes during the Film Festival. Laure disappears and assumes a new identity to foil her fellow criminals who are hot on her trail. After seven years she reappears as the wife of the American ambassador in Paris. While in Paris she is photographed by Nicolas (Antonio Banderas). Aware that her new identity may now not be enough to protect her, Laure embarks on a mission to destroy and discredit Nicolas whilst trying to prevent her former accomplices catching up with her.
