On their graduation day childhood friends who have grown apart Lucy (Brittany Spears), Mimi (Taryn Manning), and Kit (Zoe Saldana) dig up a wish box they buried as children on the beach. They realize that they have not reached the goals they hoped to attain as children. They decide to all go on a road trip to Los Angeles in hopes of fulfilling their dreams. Lucy wants to meet her mother, Mimi wants to enter a singing contest and Kit wants to visit her fiancé. They recruit Ben (Anson Mount) to drive them. As they travel across the country, encountering a number of problems, their tarnished friendship grows.
