“Rescue Dawn” tells the real life story of United States fighter pilot, Dieter Dengler (Christian Bale), a German American whose plane was shot down and was captured in Lao during the Vietnam War. Not giving up anything and enduring all manners of torture, Dengler never once lost his mind and stayed in control. They Viennese try everything to break his spirit and bend Dengler to their will even by killing a prisoner. His control was so dominate he was able to organize a death defying escape with the help of fellow Prisoners of War along with, Duane Martin (Steve Zahn).
