Based on the novel by Matt Cohen, Autumn Hearts: A New Beginning tells the story of three adults reuniting for the first time since they were interred at a detention camp outside Paris. Melanie (Susan Sarandon) and Christopher (Gabriel Byrne) fell in love as children as they were protected as children by Jakob (Max von Sydow) from the cruelty of the WWII camp. Melanie is now married to David (Christopher Plummer), but both Melanie and Christopher remember the spark of their earlier romance.
