Two years have passed since events which ended in original Final Fantasy game. Cloud Strife (Takahiro Sakurai) lives a solitary life driving his motorcycle in the outskirts of Edge, a new city builded on the ruins of Midgar devastated by the Meteor. Tifa Lockhart (Ayumi Ito) has opened new 7th Haven and looks after Marlene (Miyu Tsuzuhara) and orphan children, while Barret Wallace (Masahiro Kobayashi) and Cid Highwind (Kazuyuki Yama)look for new power resources now that the world has been stripped off of Mako energy. But, this peace will end when the children from the city start to suffer from strange disease called "Geostigma". Investigating this mysterious outbreak our heroes meet Kadaj, Loz and Yazo who are searching for their "mother" and who incidentally look very much alike Sephiroth. Who are they? Is Sephiroth really dead?
