Jack Frost (Michael Keaton) is a musician who is looking for his big break. He and his band travel around from gig to gig, looking for a shot at the big time. Unfortunately, this means that Jack is never around for his wife Gabby Frost (Kelly Preston) or son Charlie Frost (Joseph Cross). Charlie’s heart is continually broken as Jack makes promise and promise that he can’t keep. One night, on the way to a gig, the band’s van is in a terrible accident and Jack dies. One year later, it is winter and Jack returns in the form of a snowman. After convincing Charlie that it is really him, the pair now have a chance to do all the fun things Jack promised he would do. Jack gets a second chance to be a good dad, before he melts away.
