Computer-animated movie set in the days prior to D-Day, the Allied invasion of France. Valiant (Ewan McGregor) is a small in stature, but big in dreams wants to become a messenger pigeon. At first rejected, but because of the losses caused by the German falcon General Von Talon (Tim Curry) he becomes accepted and brings along his new friend Bugsy (Ricky Gervais). Undergoing stiff training with other misfits, Valiant still finds the time to fall in love with Victora (Olivia Williams), a nursing dove. In desperation, Valiant's squad, not having completed their training, is sent on a dangerous mission to France. Enroute, their plane is shot down, where they luckily meet up with the local French Resistance. His friends get captured and only Valiant can rescue his mates, complete the mission, and get the girl.
