American Dreamz is movie about a fictitious singing competition television show. The movie centers around two contestants, Sally Kendoo (Mandy Moore) and Omer (Sam Golzari). Sally is a stereotypical middle America teenager with a military boyfriend (Chris Klein) who wants nothing more in the world, but to be a singer and will do anything to achieve her goal. Omer is a flashy, attention loving boy who struggles with his family through the competition. Everyone in America has become obsessed with the reality show, even the president (Dennis Quaid). Much to the dismay of his Chief of Staff (Willem Dafoe), the president wants to attend the season finale. As all the contestants and the judge, Martin Tweed (Hugh Grant), gear up for the finale, the show takes many unexpected turns. After all, you never know who America will vote for!
